About Me

I have 10+ years experience in managing professional service teams and 12+ years in web design and development.   In addition to being a Microsoft Certified Professional, I am also a Certified Scrum Master as well as Certified Scrum Practitioner.  I  have been practicing Agile methods since as early as 2002, albeit I wasn’t familiar with what those practices were called at the time.  They just seemed to make sense based on the context I was working in.

Fast forward to 2007.  This is when I was ‘officially’ bitten by the Agile bug and started at my first company that claimed to be using Scrum.  I quickly learned that something wasn’t quite right as we weren’t getting the results we expected.   I decided to get formal training,  joined the Agile community and the rest is history.  I found my true passion and helped repair a broken implementation of Scrum.

Since then I have become more deeply involved in the Agile community, discussion groups and weekly Agile coaching round-tables.  My current engagement is at Rogers Communications where I have been working with a large department that is adopting Agile.   I have worked with software and non-software teams in various capacities from facilitating training and workshops to getting deeply involved ‘in the trenches’ with teams.  This includes numerous coaching responsibilities from mentoring new teams to training newly converted Scrum Masters to providing technical guidance on Agile practices.
